About the Project

This exhibit was created by Adams Library Special Collections at Rhode Island College.  The project was completed as part of a professional field experience (PFE) internship by Jessica D'Atri, a student at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Rhode Island. Molly Bruce-Patterson (Digital Archivist & Special Collections Librarian) and Andrew Davis (Digital Initiatives Coordinator) designed, supervised, and assisted in the project. The digitized documents from this exhibit also may be viewed online at DigitalCommons@RIC.

Additional thanks go to previous Adams Library Special Collections and Digital Initiatives intern, Patricia McIvor, whose exhibit on Joseph Peace Hazard's Spiritualism papers was used as guide for several aspects of this exhibit, and Jessica Wilson, librarian at South Kingstown Public Library, for her help with contextualizing Hazard's interest in nature from her work transcribing his diary.
