A dedication ceremony was held on October 1, 2017 to commemorate the acquisition of the Ron McLarty Collection by Rhode Island College. McLarty, who earned his B.A. in English, donated to the college original manuscripts of his novels, plays and poems; his extensive audiobook narrations; photos; reviews; and his biography, among other items now being housed in Special Collection by James P. Adams Library.
